ABA Therapy

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help children with autism and other developmental conditions build essential life skills, improve behaviour, and thrive in daily routines. At Reverence Community Care, our ABA therapists use play-based methods, structured techniques, and family involvement to create positive, lasting change.

What Is ABA Therapy?

ABA therapy focuses on understanding how behaviour works and how it is influenced by the environment. Using a variety of tools and structured routines, therapists help children replace challenging behaviours with functional, independent skills.

ESDM Therapy

Positive Reinforcement

Children are encouraged and rewarded for positive behaviour, increasing the likelihood of repetition. Unhelpful behaviours are gently redirected with less reinforcement to reduce their frequency.

Based on Behaviour Science

ABA is grounded in behaviourism — understanding what happens before and after a behaviour. This helps children learn new skills and manage difficult behaviours more effectively.

Versatile & Individualised

While ABA is highly effective for children on the autism spectrum, it also benefits those with developmental delays or behavioural challenges. Each program is customised to meet the child’s specific needs and goals.

How ABA Can Help

Supporting Behaviour, Learning & Independence through Structured Guidance

Behaviour Modification

We assess behavioural triggers and use evidence-based strategies to reduce harmful or disruptive behaviours such as self-injury, aggression, or tantrums.

Skill Development

Our therapists support learning in areas such as colours, shapes, letter recognition, daily routines, following instructions, and personal safety.

Persistence & Independence

ABA encourages children to persist through challenges by building motivation, structure, and helping them complete tasks independently and stay engaged over time.
